I read a lot. But I listen to books I either would never normally buy or would have a hard time getting through.

Witchcraft is a subject that fascinates us all. Indeed, from childhood most of us develop some mental image of a witch - usually an old woman, mysterious and malignant. But why do witches still feature so heavily in our cultures and consciousness? From Halloween superstitions to literary references such as Faust and, of course, Harry Potter, witches seem ever-present in our lives.

What would have made Summer's Path better?

Everything ... a plot, understandable story line, an ending.

What could Scott Blum have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

    See above

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Narrator was fine the work was poor

    Any additional comments?

New age with christian undertones that never goes anywhere story. Spent the whole book wondering when it would end and what the author was trying to do? Would never listen to another one of Mr. Blum's books.

  • The Importance of Being Earnest: Free Performance

This final play from the pen of Oscar Wilde is a stylish send-up of Victorian courtship and manners, complete with assumed names, mistaken lovers, and a lost handbag. Jack and Algernon are best friends, both wooing ladies who think their names are Ernest, "that name which inspires absolute confidence." Wilde's effervescent wit, scathing social satire, and high farce make this one of the most cherished plays in the English language.

While Abraham Lincoln is widely lauded for saving a Union and freeing millions of slaves, his valiant fight against the forces of the undead has remained in the shadows for hundreds of years. Would you listen to Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter again? Why?

No, the book was alright for a single listen but it is not entertaining enough for me to listen to again. I love vampires and I just could not decide throughout this book if I wanted to laugh or cringe. The historical aspect of the book was interesting though.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Come grab your ax for the bloody show.

Where does Jewel of Atlantis rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was my least favorite book of the whole series. I had a hard time getting through it. To much sex talk and not enough story. Thank goodness I was not reading it or else I would have put it down and never finished it.

What about Savannah Richards’s performance did you like?

Ms. Richard's is excellent. She is entertaining and really brings this series to life.

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.
