"A lovely treat to open"
12 clues is the latest of the Lady Georgiana books and is right on the money. The Christmas theme works really well with the crime and the descriptions of the celebrations made me want to eat the whole time.
Rhys Bowen likes to both have a contained story while moving the overall story along which she's done here. Things might be looking up at last for Georgie - or are they? I was glad she didn't shoe-horn the entire cast into the story. The reason for the cast in play to be there were plausible. Any more would not have worked.
Then there's the audio verion. I love Katherine Kellgren, she never disappoints. Every accent and character is pitch perfect. This is a performance not a reading. I feel like these are friends of mine about to walk around the corner and whisk me off to do something fun or maybe find a body.
This is an excellent addition to series. I cannot wait to find out what happens next.
"Another hit from this duo"
To me Molly Harper sounds like Amanda Ronconi. I think should I ever meet her I won't believe it's her because she won't sound how I imagine. Amanda and Molly are the perfect Author/Narrator combo. The style, the wit, the snappy comebacks and Molly's own special brand of humour. These are books I go back to again and again.
Everything. Amanda is the perfect narrator for these books. It's a performance she has down to an art form.
