In this stunning new book, Malcolm Gladwell takes us on an intellectual journey through the world of "outliers"--the best and the brightest, the most famous and the most successful. He asks the question: what makes high-achievers different? His answer is that we pay too much attention to what successful people are like, and too little attention to where they are from: that is, their culture, their family, their generation, and the idiosyncratic experiences of their upbringing.

Couldn't be more pleased with this book. The topics are all fascinating, and you end up learning far more about the factors which determine success than you knew existed. Malcolm presents the information in a way that's easy to digest in audiobook form. Considering listening to it again...

Every schoolchild learns about the mutually beneficial dance of honeybees and flowers: The bee collects nectar and pollen to make honey and, in the process, spreads the flowers' genes far and wide. In The Botany of Desire, Michael Pollan ingeniously demonstrates how people and domesticated plants have formed a similarly reciprocal relationship.

Nearly impossible to get through this book with the chosen narrator. Sadly, it takes a lot from the interesting subject matter.
