Yes, I would recommend this book and the entire ZFO series. The characters are all written in a very rich manner.

I have no other series or book to compare it to, but if you liked this you would likely enjoy Gill's All Fright Diner. It has a very similar comedic aspect to it.

Sean Runnette is fantastic! I had to physically read one of the books and I really missed Mike because Sean just brings Mike and the rest of the cast to life. He understood the characters so well.

No, I would not listen to it again. I purposely purchased the hardback so that I could appreciate the story. Molly should stick to acting badly instead of reading badly.

Molly Quinn made all of the characters seem flat and lifeless. The only true change she ever made in her voice was if she was speaking for someone with a foreign accent.

Molly Quinn completely ruined this book and the last. I had no way to connect with this book emotionally because her narration is so poor.

Yes, I would listen to it again. Ray really did a good job in bringing across who Joe Ledger was.

I liked Joe. He was written very realistic.

Ray's performance never seemed forced and he seemed to really understand the characters he was reading.

It was a good book, but it was not one of those books where you get so emotionally wrapped up that you are unable to put it down.

I loved the last Zombie series that Rhiannon Frater wrote, but not this one. It just did not have the emotion wrapped into it like The Last Days series.

I plan to listen to The Clockwork Princess when it becomes available in March

Kristin just did not seem to understand the character enough to bring her to life. It was just a very unemotional read.

Not that I am knocking SK, because I love the DH series by all means. One of my guilty pleasures. However, I always wanted to hear or read a book written by her minus the sex. There are a lot of writers that are unable to accomplish that feat, but SK knocked it out of the park if you ask me.
I am not a big fan of time travel stories, but she makes this work for me. The story is so rich, snarky, serious and funny that you don't have time to focus on the time travel aspect screwing things up. Again I have time travel issues LOL!!
As with most other SK novels the narration of the story really makes it. The narrator truly gets Nick's snarky, smart ass attitude and does it with style.
My fourteen year old son loves the Nick series, though myself, I feel that there are things he is missing out on because he cannot or likely would not read the DH series. However, he too said he got the book, loved the characters and cannot wait for the next one :)

I was so anxious about this book. I was so worried that she would try to cram too much in or leave something out..... but as with Seth Mortensen, it may take a year to write it, but it is worth every minute. If you are a GK fan you will not be disappointed in this book. RM stays true to each of her characters from beginning to end. Though I feel that she made Gerogina a bit more daft at times. True fans knew what was going to happen, but I personally did not think about the reactions to the revelation. Though there are not a lot of surprises as far as plot line there were many times that I was still guessing at how each character would play into the overall picture. I see another series forming from this one. I don't think this will be the last we see from the Seattle Crew, but I am very satisfied with Georgina and Seth's closing. I think this is the best series by RM. I have read other series by her and when I first started reading the Succubus series I had to go back and double check who the writer was. This series was written so profoundly different than any of her other series. It was smart, witty, mature and with just the right dose of sexual play and romance. The characters were all well developed along with each of their emotions and personalities. The reader for this series really made it too. You can tell she totally got Georgie. For me this was not just another typical Paranormal Romance. As with Katie and O'Neal, savor every page, or in this case, spoken word as it is rich and entertaining. Great Story, sorry to see it end, but what a great ending. Thanks Richelle for Sharing Georgie and the Seattle gang with us. It has been a pleasure.

I was attracted by the name of the book, the title would make an amazing sculpture. I was truly unable to put this audio book down. From the very beginning Carrie Ryan introduces you to a dark new world or should I say what is left of our world and the people who are trying to eek out a life and love in it. In the beginning it did remind me of "The Village" however, you quickly find out it is significantly different. In this book the threat is real, the threat is constant and death is never really the end of existence. I truly found myself wrapped up in the darkness and emotion of the main characters journey in this coming of age novel of love and loss. One thing I felt Mrs. Ryan did well is never let you forget the threat, but always kept the human story in the front.

I would have given this book a five star rating just for the content alone, but I was not impressed at all with the narrators.
As always Cassandra brings us such lively characters with humor, danger, love and pain. You cannot have light without dark. I love hearing from the various perspectives and not just Clary's. Oh and for those of you who loved Clockwork Angel there are teasers in this book for the next in the series of Clockwork.
With that said, I am personally going to go out and purchase the hardback novel. Reason : Again, the narrators are horrible. Their voices do not complement one another at all. Her voice is very shrill and his voice is very baritone. I truly feel that neither of them did this book/Cassandra's characters any justice. Through the majority of the book both readers are flat and do not create individual voices for the characters, everyone sounds exactly the same unless the character has an accent. After 4 books, Clockwork included, having been brought across so well by other readers, they fall short and make the characters and Cassandras writing flat. Suddenly have Simon, Jace and a new character Kyle are made to sound as if they are Rocky Balboa, I was truly waiting for "Yo, Adrian". At times when the three are having conversations you feel like your listening to the Mob and unless Cassandra has written in "Jace said" or "Simon said" then you get lost in who is saying what because they all sound the same. I understand they are from Brooklyn, but geez, Simon sounds like he is going to hop in the boxing ring at some points.
I will not even get too far into the female narration. There were points in the book that I truly felt as if I would have to turn it off. It was like listening to a whiny version of scratching you nails down a chalkboard. She too was one dimensional, flat and downright annoying.
Narrators ruined the book!

Just a note : If I had my choice I would have called the couple who read for Shiver, by Maggie Steivatter.
