I felt there was very little substance and far too many random stories. There were several anticdotes to prove every point. A few would be great, but by the end I was getting down-right annoyed.
Also, this is not a focused book. Part of it is about how we can change our own personal habits, part about how companies can change their habits and part about how businesses use our habits to sell us stuff. I didn't find it useful to have those three topics together in one book.
The book did not significantly increase my understanding of the subject. I left the book with very few ideas about how to change my habits.
The book would have been more interesting and insightful if there were 1/10th the number of anticdotes.
The performance was good
This is a good book for anyone whether you are a high powered manager who wants to improve his/her management skill, or a dedicated employee who wants to get ahead or noticed.
The author has a way of getting the reader/listener to see themselves from the point of view of others and objectively assess what characteristics may need to be changed.
