For more than ten years, Diablo has been one of PC gaming’s iconic and blockbuster franchises, with millions of players experiencing to this day all the adventure and terror in the world of Sanctuary. Now, to tie-in with the long-awaited release of Blizzard Entertainment’s all-new game, Diablo III, the original novel Deckard Cain will bridge the untold story of one of Diablo’s most popular characters.

The performance of the narrator, along with the music, is really immersing. The story is full of dark mystery, danger and gore, as is characteristic to the Diablo universe.
I've been a Diablo fan for many years now, and I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the lore of the series. However, you can still find the book enjoyable even if you never played Diablo.

Lands die. The living light fades. An ancient darkness awakens. The Living Light that sustains Arlethia is dwindling. An unknown, vicious enemy approaches in stealth from beyond the northern glaciers, a wasteland of ice that spans hundreds of miles. A clandestine brotherhood of assassins, held in check by the Light for millennia, seeks to break their maledictive shackles and unleash their bloodlust upon the world.

You know that feeling when you start listening to an audiobook and you think "This is the kind of book I've been waiting for!" ? This is how I felt with Circle of Reign. Jacob Cooper has created a complex world, with various factions struggling for power or survival. It's not a standard fantasy setting either, it has unique elements, my favorite being the Wood Dwellers with their special abilities and their connection to nature. The story also has a subtle science flavor to it, which I particularly like in fantasy books ever since I read Brandon Sanderson's work.

Characters have depth and evolve throughout the story, sometimes in unexpected ways.
As the plot progresses, it will be even harder to set the book aside, as you'll probably be too curious about what happens next.

Another huge plus is the reader, Michael Kramer, who does an amazing job, as usual.

All in all, I definitely recommend this book and I'm looking forward to more books from this author.

Druid Atticus O’Sullivan hasn’t stayed alive for more than two millennia without a fair bit of Celtic cunning. So when vengeful thunder gods come Norse by Southwest looking for payback, Atticus, with a little help from the Navajo trickster god Coyote, lets them think that they’ve chopped up his body in the Arizona desert. But the mischievous Coyote is not above a little sleight of paw, and Atticus soon finds that he’s been duped into battling bloodthirsty desert shape-shifters called skinwalkers.

This audiobook is totally awesome. The compelling action, the characters, all the myths woven into the story, and of course, the amazing performance by Luke Daniels. I only wish the previous three books in the chronicles were available. However the book is self contained, no need to worry you won't be able to pick up the story or anything.

All in all, I definitely recommend this audiobook.
