    "Amazing Writing, Ok story"

I got into the book almost immediately. Kings writing had a way of doing that. It wasn't until I was about 4 hours in I realized nothing had happened of importance at all.
I enjoyed getting to know the characters but not much of anything.
Nothing resembling horror happens until the end. Don't get me wrong I liked the book a lot just would have enjoyed more classic King

I first encountered this series back when it was published originally. It is my all time favorite trilogy. Brilliant and very well researched for fiction. I cannot recommend this series enough. I hope Audible gets the next 2 fairly quickly.

    "Decent Read, Terrible Narration."

The book is pretty good. It's kept me on board for the whole book. The problem is the narration. The narrator whispers the entire book. Its maddening. I will avoid that narrator from here on out no matter how much i may want to read the book.
