I used to enjoy Tami Hoag's mysteries but this one was awful. I will not use another credit on her.
Leave out the unneeded sexual scenes and stay with the storyline and finish the story.
It would be hard to narrate this story well but the reader made it even harder to bare.
All sex scenes.
I am a Deaver fan. I couldn't finish this book. Terrible is the best way to describe it.
Not have written it.
Loved the book, hated the music. I fast forwarded through all the songs. Such a bad idea.
There was just enough story line between the endless lists and description of the tormented characters to allow me to finish this book.
I am writing this review to suggest another book that lovers of "The Glass Castle" will surely enjoy. "Sweeping Up Glass", by Carolyn Wall is a novel but reads like a memoir. Because I got it from the library I am unable to rate it but I give it a five as well.
Back to the Glass Castle: I enjoyed it so much and was always amazed that this author survived with her determination to succeed and created this amazing memoir. The reader, such an important character in any audio book was excellent. I judge a good reader by how "unaware" I am of him or her, never distracting me from the story.
I went on to read "Half Broke Horses." I didn't enjoy it as much as the previous book but found it so informative. We learn about her grandmother and can understand why her mother is as she is.
