    Story is good if shallow..but it would be entertaining if the original narrator did this book too. Awful voice takes away the enjoyment, really could not listen to the entire book.

    It seems a simple story. It is not. The events spin about, clarifying and confusing all at once. I could relate to all the well developed, solid and realistic characters. It's the girl that I can't get out of my head or heart that haunts me. A gentle, dynamic book that can't really be explained....you just have to read it. Enjoy.

    this story from before WWII...the people are real, they seem like someone you could know...if only we could step back in time. Wonderful story, held my interest from morning to when I feel asleep listening. A#1!
