Read between the lines on this one. George W. Bush does not understand the concept of Seperation of Church and State.
I found this to be chilling look at an extreemist with ungodly power. It motivates me to get out and campaign for John Kerry. The country's safety and future depends on Bush being defeated in november!
Frederick Davidson takes a great work and renders it unbearable. Who ever got this guy to read anything? At least I know now to avoid any audio book he reads.
Make sure to listen to the sample before purchase! Shame on you Audible!
unfortunately i can't give a rating of Zero for the review and it's ALL because of the horrible narrator.
The affected snobbishness of the narrator makes this book very difficult to listen to. Little expression in his voice does not help. I went off previous reviews and feel I wasted my money on this one... Make sure you listen to a sample. If you like the narrator, you will like the book. Comes in 3 parts... You are not buying the full novel = expensive.
Ender's Game shows up in the top 3 best ever science fiction books of everyone I have ever known (that had such a list). No other book holds that honor. So I say it's the best written yet.
Now that was the book. I expected to just hear someone read the book and that would have been cool, BUT there are several people on this audiobook. They don't turn it into a play, but there is a natural flow and interesting other voices are used to draw you in deeper than if you were reading it.
The epilog and the interview with orson Scott Card can't be found anywhere else.
This production is a cut above most other audiobooks, a must have!
