A smallpox epidemic begins in a whisper with a single death, and then the name of the victim surfaces: Abdulaziz al-Sherhi. In a nation rich in imagination, this name requires none at all. In the weeks that follow, the epidemic fears crescendo into a national roar. People panic about dying from this horrific terrorist-incited disease and clamor for a vaccination. Maggie Rider, a weary road warrior for a high-tech company, submits to the shot only to realize this is no ordinary immunization.

As if he doesn't have enough to handle between running outlaws out of Cheyenne, keeping his brothers out of trouble, and avenging his father's death, Sheriff Sawyer McCade's meddling mother just dumped a mysterious mail-order bride on his doorstep. One woman can be more trouble than a band of renegades, and while this one has him all stirred up, he'd rather get to the bottom of the story she isn't telling. Rose Parker had it all - until a web of danger and deceit sends her running to Cheyenne posing as a mail-order bride. Escaping the evils of New York seems sensible until she meets the unsuspecting sheriff who didn't ask for her, has no intention of marrying her, and won't rest until he uncovers her secret and sends her back home.

Where does Sawyer's Rose rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I’m don’t usually listen to romances but Sawyer’s Rose is more than a romance. Good plot and twists that I did not see coming.

What other book might you compare Sawyer's Rose to and why?

Sawyer’s Rose reminds me of Louis L’Amour somewhat. Tough but hurting cowboy and an equally tough woman trying to make her way in the West.

    Any additional comments?

Narrator was awesome. I don’t think there could be a better voice for a western. Honestly, he reminded me of San Elliott.

Kelly Winters moves to Haven, California looking for a new start after her divorce. What she finds though, is a thousand years of family history that she knew nothing about.
Very good book. I listened to it in one sitting. Maybe would have liked a little bit more but as this is a first book in a series, I’m hoping the next books will be longer. Narration and production were both of high quality.

Would you listen to The Preacher: Aces and Eights again? Why?

I definitely would. The story is intelligent and action packed.

Which character – as performed by Shawn Compton – was your favorite?

The Preacher . Shawn Compton does a great job with him and all the other characters. I can see the them clearly in my mind.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

This book is a little king to do that with but , if I had whole day I probably would do it.

    Any additional comments?

This is the second book in a series. I haven’t listened to the first one and that’s not a problem. This stands alone. Definitely will go back and listen to the first

It is as scary as it is exciting: this is how most people would describe a paranormal experience. While others encounter it even when they don't want to, others search for the thrill, going so far as visiting places out of the country just so they can feel the suspense. Haunted forests, abandoned ghost towns, creepy creatures, cursed roads, and other paranormal events - all these things happen for a reason. Murder victims manifest themselves perhaps because their justice is still not achieved, or perhaps, they simply were not ready to go.

I was supposed to start college next year, but after being given a ticket to Cairo as a high school graduation present, I skipped the ceremony and jumped on the plane. My name is Mary Fallon. I'm 18 years old, and for as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated by ancient Egypt. I could never have imagined the experiences awaiting me here in the ancient land of the pharaohs, including having my first lucid dream.

Baffled by the initial reports, Astrick's Assistant District Attorney, David (Mac) McCann, knows exactly where Memory is, and it's not lying dead beside a highway. While investigating the wild rumor of her death, and several subsequent foiled assaults on Memory, Mac and Memory stumble onto clues from another long-ago questionable death.

The plot was good. And it kept me interested but I almost gave up on it because of the narrator. First of all the inflections are all off. Sometimes it’s pretty monotonous and the female voices aren’t great. Also there was at least of couple of stumbles that I caught that should have been fixed in editing.
