I like Carolla's "to the point" bluntness, but it seemed like some of the material was either covered in his previous book or was material that might have been left on the editing floor from the previous book.

It was worth listening. Just didn't measure up to his previous book.

My expectations might have been high based on his "50 years we'll all be chicks" book. It was OK.

Just seemed to ramble and not flow. I gave up on it after a few hours.

Man can I relate to some of this (as I'm sure many of us can).

Not normally the type of book I read. A friend recommended it to me. I thoroughly enjoyed it and have recommended it and bought it for other friends and family. I was glad to see that another version titled just "Racing in the Rain" was offered that cleaned up some of the only adult related situations so I could pass it on to my kids to read.

In terms of Ronald Reagan, Peggy Noonan's book "When Character Was King: A Story of Ronald Reagan" is a must read.

If you read this and Peggy Noonan's book "When Character Was King: A Story of Ronald Reagan" objectively, I don't know how you can come away with anything short of a great admiration for the man.

Getting some additional details on the going on's during the election.

Some of the interaction between the candidates was interesting and informative.

I read this book before seeing the movie (as most usually do). The movie suggests that Palin is the Game Change, focuses on her and, I thought, toward the end, takes some Hollywood liberties with her. In the book, she's actually a small percentage. I would argue that Obama and Palin are both identified as Game Changers. I also thought the author handled all parties fairly and objectively.

I've read a lot of good audiobooks. This ranks with among the better ones.

I like non fiction, events driven books. Looking for the details in what happened. That said, I think it's comparable to books like Blackhawk Down or Game Change.

If you've read the original book you know it is considerably different than the movie. It almost seemed as if this follow up was written to capitalize on the success of the movie.It was just tossed together with little flow to any kind of story line. Gump is almost a cross between the original book character (really a bit of a jerk) and the movie character (an unassuming good guy). Seemed like the author couldn't decide if he wanted him to continue as the book character or the movie character. Disappointing.
