The space-faring Yherajk have come to Earth to meet us and to begin humanity's first interstellar friendship. There's just one problem: They're hideously ugly and they smell like rotting fish. So getting humanity's trust is a challenge. The Yherajk need someone who can help them close the deal. Enter Thomas Stein, who knows something about closing deals. He's one of Hollywood's hottest young agents.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It was, mostly, up until the anticlimactic ending.

What did you like best about this story?

    The first half.

What does Wil Wheaton bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Wil Wheaton is a great voice actor. I would definitely recommend the other Scalzi books he has narrated, as well as some others. He did an amazing job narrating Ready Player One.

Could you see Agent to the Stars being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

    No.

Kyle Riggs has been away from Earth for a long time.... What’s happening back home? In Empire, the sixth book of the Star Force Series, the story moves in a new direction. Earth falls quiet, and the few reports coming out of the homeworld are increasingly strange. Isolated in the Eden system, Riggs realizes his enemies are forming an alliance against him. Crushed between two monstrous fleets, the last defenders of Star Force must forge their own alliance with the biotic aliens. But which alien race can Riggs truly trust?

What made the experience of listening to Empire the most enjoyable?

The narrator, the stress of the conflicts, the aliens, the technology

Which character – as performed by Mark Boyett – was your favorite?

I guess the main character, as this story is in first person

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yep

    Any additional comments?

What's the deal with the REVERB added to the narrators voice in this one? It's new and it's ANNOYING. Kinda sounds like the guy is in a bathroom...

Tassaa Bareesh, a matriarch in the Hutt crime cartel, is holding an auction that’s drawing attention from across the galaxy. Representatives of both the Republic and the Sith Empire are present, along with a Jedi Padawan sent to investigate, a disenfranchised trooper drummed out of the Republic’s elite Blackstar Squad, and a mysterious Mandalorian with a private agenda.

What did you like best about Star Wars: The Old Republic: Fatal Alliance? What did you like least?

The story was great, the voices are excellent. Most of the sound effects are good and in place.

SOME spots had sound effect loops that kept going... For example in part 2 around 50 mins in, some missiles fire at a ship - and a sound effect loop goes on for about 5 minutes or more of lasers and explosions, even when the narrator says "no more missiles appeared to be fired", the effect loop kept going. I actually had to skip a few mins ahead and missed some of the story because I couldn't listen to the story with such out of place effects.

    Any additional comments?

Minimize the sound effects! That's what IMAGINATION is for!
