Would you listen to American Gods: The Tenth Anniversary Edition (A Full Cast Production) again? Why?

Possibly, in a few years. I wouldn't normally re-read/listen to a book, but there are a few that I would go back to. This would be one. Now that I know the story, I think I would pickup more details by listening again. There are a lot of twists and turns that might come to light with a second reading.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Shadow, of course! It is Shadow that we follow through all the scenes and almost always is the one interacting with each of the other characters. I did like Sam and hoped she would turn out to be good for Shadow. And although freaky, Laura was interesting as she came and went in Shadows life.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I don't think it was extreme, but it did make me laugh, cry, gag, and sometimes think WTF?

In a time long forgotten, a preternatural event threw the seasons off balance. In a land where summers can last decades and winters a lifetime, trouble is brewing. As the cold returns, sinister forces are massing beyond the protective wall of the kingdom of Winterfell. To the south, the king's powers are failing, with his most trusted advisor mysteriously dead and enemies emerging from the throne's shadow.

Would you listen to A Game of Thrones again? Why?

Sure, there would be more details come out when listening a second time. The story is quite complex and I plan to listen to the next book and then watch the TV series and probably listen again after that.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Game of Thrones?

The ending. I don't want to give it away, but the whole scene with Daenerys and the fire and dragons was riveting.

What about Roy Dotrice’s performance did you like?

He was an excellent narrator and his reading did not distract from the details of the book. Sometimes the reader has a voice or something that distracts me. This was not the case with Mr. Dotrice. I will listen to more books by him.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this book to someone who is as infatuated with Google as I am. I would not recommend this book to the average reader or Googler as it is way more detailed than the average person cares to know. For me, it was exciting and enlightening to hear of the inner workings of the company and it's people.

What does L. J. Ganser bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I don't think Ganser brought anything to the story. I'm not sure I would have ever sat down and read the book, but it was an easy listen while doing other things (driving, biking, etc). There are not really any characters to

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Definitely not. I really needed a break after about an hour or so. It is not a nail biting story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. It is more of an informative reading full of information to digest as you go along.

What made the experience of listening to iWant the most enjoyable?

This was a biography of Jane focused on the character defects she was aware of in her life and how she overcame them. I enjoyed most of it, but I was particularly interested in the addiction areas of her life. She goes into a lot of detail about several other things that did not interest me.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would have rather heard the story of the specific area of her life as related to the addictions. I actually skipped some chapters that I was not interested in.

What about Jane Velez-Mitchell’s performance did you like?

I really enjoy when this type of book is read by the author. When she refers to

What made the experience of listening to The FairTax Book the most enjoyable?

I really enjoyed that the book was read by Neal himself. The information would have been the same, but to hear him expressing his views himself and in the style I am used to from the radio program really helped me understand his thoughts.

If you’ve listened to books by Neal Boortz and John Linder before, how does this one compare?

This was the first book by Neal Boortz that I have listened to, but it will not be the last.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I wouldn't necessarily want to listen to this book in one sitting. The chapters cover different areas of the Fair Tax, so stoping at the end of a chapter and starting again later worked just fine.

    Any additional comments?

Whether or not you have an opinion of the Fair Tax, keep an open mind and listen as Neal explains it fully and in detail. You might just find yourself with a new opinion.
