From one of America's most beloved and respected writers comes the classic story of Homer Wells, an orphan, and Wilbur Larch, a doctor without children of his own, who develop an extraordinary bond with one another.

I've always enjoyed reading this book myself and wasn't sure if I would enjoy the Audible version. I really enjoyed listening to the story told by Grover Gardner- his voice and tone was perfect this book.

Part history, part true-crime, and entirely entertaining, listen to the story of how the behemoth Oxford English Dictionary was made. You'll hang on every word as you discover that the dictionary's greatest contributor was also an insane murderer working from the confines of an asylum.

Jerry says: "Perfect example of a quality audible book."

I didn't really know what to expect from The Professor and the Madman, but I enjoyed reading the book. It was very interesting to hear the story as well as learn how the dictionary was created.

Based upon his weekly Harvard Business Review column (one of the most popular columns on HBR.com, receiving hundreds of thousands of unique page views a month), 18 Minutes clearly shows how busy people can cut through all the daily clutter and distractions and find a way to focus on those key items that are truly the top priorities in our lives.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

18 Minutes offered interesting ideas on how to get through the day, but the ideas cannot be applied to all jobs. Only those who have the choice of what work is assinged to them can really use the suggestions.

    Any additional comments?

I enjoyed Bregman's enthusiasm for his book but had a hard time following at times. It was difficult to tell where one chapter ended and another began.

Dr. Gary Chapman identifies five basic languages of love and then guides couples towards a better understanding of their unique languages of love. Learn to speak and understand your mate's love language, and in no time you will be able to effectively love and truly feel loved in return. Skillful communication is within your grasp!

What did you like best about The Five Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts? What did you like least?

I liked that Dr. Chapman's theory makes sense and was easy to understand and follow. However, it became difficult to always follow the theory when there were too many side stories involved to get the point across.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Since this isnt a traditional story, there isnt really an "ending". Though, it was fun to figure out where I fit in to Dr. Chapman's theory.

Was The Five Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts worth the listening time?

Yes and no. As I mentioned, it was interesting, but there were so explanations of an idea that it became too long for some sections.

    Any additional comments?

Worth listening too if you're looking to find out why you and a significant other seem to be "speaking different languages".
