Bilbo Baggins, a gentle hobbit who loves the comforts of home, reluctantly joins a company of dwarves on a journey to recover plundered gold from a fierce dragon. It's a tale of high adventure and astonishing courage, and a magical prelude to the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Zreea says: "Many years of enjoyment"
    "Dramatized is an understatement."

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I'd recommend they find one that isn't so over the top in the acting department. I'd prefer a Jim Dale like voice and read.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Hobbit (Dramatized)?

The battles were great, but the over-acting shadowed a lot of what could have been built in your head.

What three words best describe An Ensemble Cast’s voice?

    nasally, obnoxious, annoying

Do you think The Hobbit (Dramatized) needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

    it already does :-)

All the Pretty Horses, the first volume of the Borders Trilogy, tells of young John Grady Cole, the last of a long line of Texas ranchers. Across the border Mexico beckons; beautiful and desolate, rugged and cruelly civilized. With two companions, he sets off on an idyllic, sometimes comic adventure, to a place where dreams are paid for in blood.

    "Slow start. Worth the wait."

Starts off extremely slow. Didn't really get interesting or suck you in until about the 5th hour. Soon after that, it became one of those listens that you looked forward to every day. The narrator was great too. Really good with the accents, but could have spoke a little louder at times.

    • Narrated By Richard Pasco

    Story

Obsessed with creating life itself, Victor Frankenstein plunders graveyards for the material to fashion a new being, which he shocks into life with electricity. But his botched creature, rejected by Frankenstein and denied human companionship, sets out to destroy his maker and all that he holds dear. Mary Shelley's chilling Gothic tale was conceived when she was only 18, living with her lover Percy Shelley near Byron's villa on Lake Geneva.

    William says: "Unbelivable"
"Wonderful story, but a tough listen."

I loved the story, but it was tough to keep interest during a lot of the supporting dialog.
