Lizette Henry wakes up one morning and makes a terrifying discovery: She doesn't recognize the face she sees in the mirror. She remembers what she looks like, but her reflection is someone else's. To add to the shock, two years seem to have disappeared from her life. Someone has gone to great and inexplicable lengths to keep those missing years hidden forever. But the past always finds a way to return.

Would you try another book from Linda Howard and/or Carrington MacDuffie?

I love Linda Howard. I would probably buy more of her books, but with more caution.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The character Xavier was more what I expected and didn't disappoint.

Have you listened to any of Carrington MacDuffie’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    Yes. She does really well.

Could you see Shadow Woman being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

    Not really.

    Any additional comments?

I expected this book would be like the movie "Long Kiss Goodnight" with Geena Davis. The character Geena played was what I hoped Lizette would be like. The storyline never developed and completed nice and neat, no fuss no bite.

On Manhattan’s Upper East Side, a woman lies dead at the bottom of a brownstone’s basement steps, stripped of all her valuables. Most cops might call it a mugging gone wrong, but Lieutenant Eve Dallas knows better. A well-off accountant and a beloved wife and mother, Marta Dickenson doesn’t seem the type to be on anyone’s hit list. But when Eve and her partner, Peabody, find blood inside the brownstone, she knows Marta’s murder is the work of a killer who’s trained, yet not professional or smart enough to remove all the evidence.

I loved the series. The story dragged and there wasn't very much action. The vallains were dumb and uninteresting. Book was same old story nothing new. Eve hasn't grown much and all other characters are at the same place as previous books. I probably won't be buying any more of JD Robb. Sorry. I thought I would never not want to buy any more books from this author.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I really had a hard time getting into the story. The narrator was monotoned..had to force myself to listen.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I kept with it because the story should have been good. But, I just wished it would finish already.

What three words best describe Suzan Crowley’s voice?

    She was boring.

Do you think Knight Awakened needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

    No.

Her career in homicide has taken her into the darkest depths of New York City’s underground - and sometimes Lieutenant Eve Dallas feels more comfortable in those kinds of places than in the high-rise, high-society world of her billionaire husband, Roarke. But while she’s no party girl, she’s managing to have a reasonably good time at the celebrity-packed bash celebrating the debut of The Icove Agenda. This time it’s Eve, not Roarke, who’s a guest of honor, since the film is based on one of her famous cases. Her partner, Peabody, is practically giddy....

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

    No. Dragged for too long.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

    It needed more action.

Which character – as performed by Susan Ericksen – was your favorite?

    Eve and Roark.

Do you think Celebrity in Death needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

JD Robb will always be a buy. I think this book could have been better. I love that the main characters are developing and evolving. Her place in the department needs to go to the next level.

    Any additional comments?

I hope the next book will have more exciting plot. This had too many characters and I wasn't interested enough to keep up with them.

Just loved it. The best so far. The narrator was fabulous. I got the book in my kindle too. It almost seem to be the last book. She closed everything up and we got to see some of her characters from previous books. The only one I felt needed a book was Vlad. I hope she continues the series.
