I love the Prey series and have listened to almost all of them. I haven't heard Invisible Prey which maybe would have alerted me to this narrator. His narration is great, Lucas' voice is great but why would every woman in the story sound like a whiney dingbat? I think Sandford writes strong female characters and even our buddy, Dell, sounded like a whiney dope. I would recommend reading this one yourself. Great story as they always are, the narrator missed the boat.
Wish I could have been on this wine tour! What a colorful book of descriptive travel and pleasant characters. Great reader. I would listen to a sequel!
I knew going in to this book that it would be about the shallow, designer label life of a 40 something New Yorker and I was perfectly ready for that. Unfortunately, this particluar reader doesn't inject the right personality into these characters. It could have been a light, funny, beach read had I grabbed the book instead. Interesting to read the reviews on Amazon to see the difference.
What a treat! This book was full of characters I would love to meet in real life and the story was intriguing because of a little mystery in the beginning. I laughed out loud, shed some tears, I will look for books by Keyes in the future and give a big round of applause to the narrator. Great work!
Though the book was entertaining and funny, it was a very slow start and mostly, I think because of the choice of narrator. The voice didn't seem to fit the story to me. The desire to listen hit about halfway thru part 1 and then was pleasant to the end.
