    This story really drags on with so many unnecessary details. I loved Outlander and think the premise of the story is very interesting and had great potential, but the author can't seem to resist adding in so many descriptions and sideplots that end up going NOWHERE. Especially their time in France.... I ended up skipping some chapters and felt like I didn't miss anything, because she repeats herself and goes back over so many of the same things - Jamie's broken fingers, and how it happened, Jamie getting sea sick... who cares??? after the first time, does she really need to spend another hour describing him hating boats again? I listened to all three books, and thought the story was mostly good, but it's way too long.

    I think I have read The Hobbit at least 10 times since I was a sixth grader, and never get tired of it. What a treat to have it read to me by Rob Inglis. His voice and reading are perfect, he portrays all the characters with great skill. I can't wait to listen to The Lord of the Rings!

    What did you love best about The Last Report on the Miracles at Little No Horse?

    what an amazing story! there were so many interesting characters, but mostly I was fascinated by Agnes/Father Damien and the almost supernatural twists in her life.


    What other book might you compare The Last Report on the Miracles at Little No Horse to and why?

    The setting is similar to most of Erdrich's books - her indian reservation. In some ways I think her stories are a little like Alice Hoffman, where they are real, but the magic and unseen powers are there too.

    When the bank robber takes Agnes and she is hanging onto the car.

    Would you listen to Gone Girl again? Why?

    Probably not. I liked the story, but don't really enjoy stories where the characters are arguing alot. I enjoy reading books like this, but somehow listening stresses me out. But the story really kept me interested.


    Would you be willing to try another book from Gillian Flynn? Why or why not?

    Depends - I would have to see what others say about it first.

    This book goes on and on with the dumbest details and wandering away from what could be an interesting story. I kept thinking something good was going to happen, and finally started skipping entire chapters, and still didn't miss anything! The first book (Outlander) was good, and I thought the story/plot had potential, but this author is not Charles Dickens. She should skip the descriptive details and tell the story.
