Titan, Wizard, and Demon have enthralled a generation of readers with adventure, humor, horror, and dazzling imagination. Now, in the epic conclusion of John Varley's masterpiece, the satellite-sized Gaea has gone completely insane. She has trapped humans in her mind. She has transformed her love of old movies into monstrous realities. She is Marilyn Monroe. She is King Kong. And she must be destroyed.

"Enjoyed the series, enjoyed the narrator"
    Overall

I'd read this series a long time ago. I saw that it was available here, and decided to hear it again. I enjoyed the experience. There's quite a thematic difference between the three novels, but there are many years between the events in each. There are a few graphic descriptions of sex, so if riding in a car while listening on your stereo...you may need to turn it down in spots. I thought the narrator, Allyson Johnson was very good. Her interpretation of the singing language worked for me, and some of some of the other characters were amazing, such as the horrific Luther.

Twas the night (okay, more like the week) before Christmas, and all through Pine Cove, California, people are busy buying, wrapping, packing, and generally getting into the holiday spirit.

    "A Christmas Tradition for me"
    Overall

I've liked most of Christopher Moore's books, and enjoyed the audio versions of them. *This* one has become a sort of tradition, and I'll listen to it in the car during the holiday season, and have for 4 years. It's kind of like the animated "Rudolph" "Grinch" "Charlie Brown Christmas" traditions of my youth--but with heartwarming Christmas terror! Tony Roberts did a great job narrating the story, and I still laugh out loud at some passages. As others have noted--this is NOT a "traditional" "family" Christmas story (well, maybe traditional for the Addams family). I liked this story, and the humor within it. Others may not. For those people who have children in their lives--*all* media (no matter what the theme) should be reviewed *before* exposing your children to it.
