Who and what was discovered first.
Overall well researched and facinating story of our discoveries around the world. I didnt like the last chapter on evolution, I am a christian so I shouldnt like it anyway but Bill re-affired my dislike for it with all the contradictions and theories or should I say scientific assumption of evolution, why call it evolution when "guesswork in order to deny God's existance" is a more appropriate title, someone needs only go outside and look at the beautiful world to realise God's handy work. The rest of the book was facinating and excellently researched, fully recommend the first 75% of the book!
Grating, Genius & Determined
At first I almost stopped a third of the way in but am glad I persisted as the genius comes out more as you see why he did what he did, transforing not only the computing industry but also the music industry, not to mention the Pixar excellence. Its also an eye opener that high CEO's can be jerks and genius's all in one. He changed my world without me even knowing it, thank you, Steve Jobs.
Yes - because it is an interesting story from a young persons perspective - 'the adults wont step in to help, they never will' which is like life isnt it, we must press on - perhaps without anyone's help.
Again an original story with some captivating consepts when considering it was written in 1985, sorry Apple, you didnt invent the tablet computer as much as you like suing others because you think they copied you but perhaps Orson Scott Card, like other Sci fi writters, thought of the concept long before you did.
The Princess of Mars - far better than the movie
you fart eater (try saying that to someone who is angry at you - am guessing they will just start laughing)
Covers confession, leadership, vision, goal setting, etc. plus give good life examples, will read it again.
Yes - it is inspiring to be reminded that those who say and think they will achieve something in life, are often the ones that do. Here Joel gets us praying/declaring our future. I find the 10 to 20 minutes a day a refreshing start to my day!
Utopia not perfect
The Hunder Games as it is similar teen novel with a fight to survive and find one self
Trish - the main character, good solid realistic person, far better than the irritating hunger games lead Katniss who could never make up her mind, Trish on the other hand may struggle in life but doesnt have the yoyo character of Katnis.
Life not as you know it - Phycological thriller.
It was an enjoyable listen, I liked the concept presented.Wasnt too teeny orientated but the brief vague ending leaves you needing to read the next one which since I enjoyed it so much will get the next one.
Good strong characters, kind of reminds me of how family can be, good and bad!
I love the difference in accents, being Australian I found it great listing to. I also enjoyed the stories that had extra sounds and even the sound of a crowd - help bring it to life. 10/10
Good for people in a desert of trying to go on a date and great ideas for having fun trying to go on a date.
The jokes and some insites into what women want
I have only listened to these books, not read them but the audio presentation is amazing.
Some of the twists in the book including the hard statements on the characters made during the story.
Katnis & Eeffie Trinket
