I pay strangers to sleep with me. I have my reasons....But they're not the ones you'd expect. For starters, I'm a funeral director taking over my dad's business. Not exactly the kind of person you'd expect to fork over cash for the lust and urgency only live skin-to-skin contact can create. Looking at me, you wouldn't have a clue I carry this little secret so close it creases up like the folds of a fan. Tight. Personal. Ready to unravel in the heat of the moment. Unsurprisingly, my line of work brings me face-to-face with loss.

Megan Hart is one of my favorite romance writers. Good story line, great characters, and interesting plot twists. I wasn't sure I liked the narrator in the beginning, but I grew to really like her. It was also REALLY nice to see the Ms. Hart brought back Jack one of my favorite characters in her novels. Dan and Elle from her book 'Dirty' also make cameos. If you like romance/erotica audiobooks, this is a great choice. Also make sure to take a look at 'Broken', 'Dirty', and 'Tempted', they are amazing!!!

It was supposed to be a fun day, shopping at the mall with her best friend. Then the panic attack started and Kaylee Cavanaugh finds herself screaming, unable to stop. Her secret fears are exposed, and it's the worst day of her life....Until she wakes up in the psychiatric unit. She tries to convince everyone she's fine--despite the shadows she sees forming around another patient and the urge to scream which comes burbling up again and again.

    Story

All Kaylee Cavanaugh wanted to do was go to the mall with her best friend, and plot the demise of her recent ex-boyfriend. Unfortunately, something strange and dark will keep Kaylee from enjoying her shopping trip. This isn???t one of Kaylee standard anxiety attacks, and the only way to release the pain is to scream! After blacking out, she wakes to find that she has been strapped to a bed in mental health ward of the local hospital. Kaylee is confused by what she saw at the mall, and everyone seems to think that she has a mental breakdown.

I loved seeing Kaylee as a somewhat average teenager. All she really worried about was school and how to get back at he ex-boyfriend. She is almost carefree, in comparison to Kaylee once she finally understands what and who she is. You get to see glimpses of the strong character that she will become throughout the series.

It was great to see Kaylee???s best friend Em, as well. I just adore her most of all, because she sticks with Kaylee through thick-and-thin. They have such a sweet, innocent friendship at this point in the story. We also get to see Nash in his all is alpha, jock glory. I would have like to see just a little interaction between Kaylee and Nash, but that is probably me just being greedy.

Amanda Ronconi???s narration of MY SOUL TO LOSE was spot on! I find that it???s hard to listen to most YA audiobooks, because they narrator either sound to old or far to young. Amanda was able to convey everything from the light-hearted mood in the beginning to the despair Kaylee felt towards the end of the book.

My only complaint about this audiobook, is the fact that is ended so quickly. I really thought there should be just a little more. Other then that, I really enjoyed this audiobook prequel. It was great to take a look back and see how it all started. It was fun to see a Kaylee not so burden down with problems of the world on her shoulder. MY SOUL TO LOSE was a great introduction to the Soul Screamers world and it's characters.

Rachel has an amazing knack for building unique fictional worlds. In a sea of carbon copy urban fantasy series, Blood Bound is a breath of fresh air. Her writing is both multifaceted and brilliant! Overall, Blood Bound is a dark and seductive thrill ride. I found myself getting pulled in the Rachel's Unbound world, and not wanting to leave. I enjoyed untangling the web that is Blood Bound!

I enjoy this genre, so I'm bought and listened to all 5 books in this series. I like the characters and the idea behind the series, but sometimes the awkward writing gets in the way. The author will start a scene, and then end the scene without explaining what happened. Then only to later have the character have a long inner dialogue to explain what happened. I kept feeling like I skipped ahead in the story, when I hadn't. Other then that, the characters have grown and developed over the last 5 books. And I will finish the series. I also enjoyed the narrator! She has the perfect voice for this series. If you enjoy this genre, pick this one up.

Let me first say, that I love the Anita Blake series as a whole. Though this book is not my favorite book in the series, it's still a really good read. It is, however, the worst audiobook in the series so far.

I completely dislike the narrator change(I can't come up with stronge enough words). She sounds way to macho to be the sexy necromancer, we've always known. She completely ruins Jean Claude's accent. I'm not sure if I want to laugh or cry, because she has ruined something that I hold dear to me.

There also is this awful menacing music that plays randomly through out some scenes. It's really annoying and distracting.

I was happy when I found out that they were releasing the early Anita books in audio format, but this has been a massive let down. I'm pretty sure this will be my last Anita Blake audiobook purchase with this narrator change. Save your credits, but buy the book. You'll be happy you did!

Life sucks when your friends are pissed at you. Just ask Zoey Redbird. In one week she has gone from having three boyfriends to having none, and from having a close group of friends who trusted and supported her to being an outcast. Speaking of friends, the only two Zoey has left are undead and unMarked. And Neferet has declared war on humans, which Zoey knows in her heart is wrong.

It was another great story fro P.C. and Kristin Cast. The story rates 5 stars, but the awful narration should almost bring it down to a 3 star book. The girl sound like a child, telling a pretty grown up story. It just sounds wrong. I actually turned it off half way through and went out and bought the actual book. I should have listened to the feedback. It's to bad it overshadowed an otherwise great YA story. I sure hope they go back to the old narrator, or this will be my last audiobook from this series.

When a vampire serial killer sends Anita Blake a grisly souvenir from Las Vegas, she has to warn Sin City's local authorities what they're dealing with. Only it's worse than she thought. Ten officers and one executioner have been slain - paranormal style. Anita heads to Vegas, where's she's joined by three other federal marshals, including the ruthless Edward. It's a good thing he always has her back, because when she gets close to the bodies, Anita senses "tiger" too strongly to ignore it.

I'm a massive LKH fan, and I have all her audiobooks. This was probably the first Anita book, that I actually had to force myself to finish.

My first issue with this book is the change in narrators. The voices are all off. I couldn't always distinguish between character voices, even the new characters. The miss-pronunciation of vital words as in "ardeur" and "pomme de sang" made me absolutely CRAZY!!!! I found myself dazing in and out, due to he voice. I think she was an awful choice to narrate this series. I probably would have given it a better rating, if the old narrator was back.

My second problem, is that I liked the past few Anita book (unlike a lot of people). I think that ALL the cop stuff got a little boring. I dislike when they take Anita out side of her little St. Louis comfort zone. I miss the other characters a lot.

I should have went with my first thought and just read the book. I think that the publishing company is making a massive mistake changing the narrator in both of LKH's long standing series. I think I may be done buying audiobooks from this author.

First comes love, then comes marriage...At least, that was Gracie's plan at the ripe old age of 14. She loved 18-year-old heartthrob Riley with a desperation that made her a town legend. Even now that she's all grown up, the locals in sleepy Los Lobos won't let her forget her youthful crush. And how can she, when she's face-to-face with Riley at every turn? The one-time bad boy has come back to town seeking respectability - but the sparks that fly between them are anything but respectable!

I really thought the was a very sweet romance. It was great to see the transformation of both Gracie and Riley. The only let down was the ending was missing the last 3 or 4 chapters. So I had to run out and buy the book. It's still worth the download, cause I love Mallery's work and Plummer's narration.

I loved Taken. Just another one of Lori Foster books. The narrator is my favorite, and I download everything she does. Great story, amazing characters, and a wonderful romance tied in.

The only let down was that the site states that there are two books in one. And it doesn't. That was such a let down, cause the second story sounds amazing also. I would have given the book 5 stars, if it wasn't for this.

Sixteen-year-old Zoey Redbird has just been Marked as a fledgling vampire and joins the House of Night, a school where she will train to become an adult vampire. That is, if she makes it through the Change - and not all of those who are Marked do. It sucks to begin a new life, especially away from her friends, and on top of that, Zoey is no ordinary fledgling. She has been chosen as special by the vampire Goddess Nyx.

As the previous posts have stated, this book isn't for kids. It does deal with some grown up topics: drugs, sexy, and drinking. I think that it's fine for late teens and 20 somethings.

The book seemed to start off really slow for me. I almost felt like skipping through the book to get to better parts. I'm happy I stuck with it though. After I got through the first third of the book, I really liked it. So...give it a chance...stick to it, I promise that it's a great series.
