This is an amazingly well-written book with some newly depicted older-than-dirt themes that really draw you in and do great credit to both the author and narrator. I'll admit, there were times when I deeply, truly wanted to give Diana a good, hard shake, but her mental paralysis is part of her imperfection. Matthew is equally flawed but both are quite likable. Isobel is my favorite character, I always seem to love the charming sociopaths. It's not an easy book but it's a good one - it's not a book for a light mood or a quick read. And I'll admit, there were times when it would have been much easier if Harry Dresden (see Jim Butcher) had just wandered in and set a bunch of things on fire. However, I found it worth the credit and I'm glad I purchased it. Enjoy!
