This book did not grab my attention! I can't say it is a bad listen. I switched to a different book in the middle of listening and will probably go back and finish it when I don't have anything that is grabbing my attention. I would definitely call this a filler book. Lot of arrogance and back and forth banter; its like the author is trying to hard.

The crossfire series started off so good. I recommended it to everyone; it fell off the plot and storyline are gone and the characters are sickening; SD is grasping to keep the story going. I waited for this book and am very disappointed SD needs get off the money train and get back to writing because she lost a reader with this one.

Who she flat out loves. Complicated? Awkward? Completely. But really, how was this freshly-minted Boston transplant and newbie college freshman supposed to know that she would end up living with the family of an old friend of her mother’s? This was all supposed to be temporary.

I was not crazy about this book; I skipped a lot of it because the main character should have caught on to the fact that there was a problem early on in the book and the family should have definitely handled the situation better. It was very predictable which made it irritating. I feel that it definitely could have been written better; with the same premise but without all of the thrown in drama that was suppose to be suspenseful but was just stupid and irritating.
