"A "new author""
This was the first Stegner book I read and it was a great introduction. Great story brought to life by the talented Mark Bramhall. A classic!
"Looking forward to part 3"
Ken Follet is an amazing author and this series is no exception. John Lee does a great job again.
"Very enjoyable read"
I learned many things about this sad time in the history of England and the impact of the plague. The apothecary's craft is fascinating and so are the characters in the book. Great story overall.
"Still good after all these years"
I read this many years ago and thoroughly enjoyed this version. Great author and narration.
"More like a text book"
I started this book and just can't get into it. May try again another time, but it's pretty boring so far
"Read like a textbook"
This is probably my least favorite book from audible. The narration was dry and the story endless.
"Very interesting book"
I probably wouldn't have made it though this book if I had been reading a paper version. (do to the medical terminology and drug names). However, I found this book to be fascinating and well narrated.
"Enjoyed this"
Historical fiction is my favorite genre. This one fit the bill nicely. Good story and narration. Looking forward to more by this author.
"Enjoyed the book"
The story itself was good. However the sound quality of the narration was poor. It sounded as it the author was talking from the next room. I kept trying to boost the volume to hear what he was saying.
"Classic revisited"
Read this 35 years ago and enjoyed it all over again! Well narrated. I may just listen to it again
