Mindy Kaling has lived many lives: the obedient child of immigrant professionals, a timid chubster afraid of her own bike, a Ben Affleck–impersonating Off-Broadway performer and playwright, and, finally, a comedy writer and actress prone to starting fights with her friends and coworkers with the sentence “Can I just say one last thing about this, and then I swear I’ll shut up about it?”

Lisa says: "If you like Mindy, you'll enjoy this listen."
"I thought it was supposed to be humourous"

What would have made Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) better?

    Witt and humor.

Has Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) turned you off from other books in this genre?

Yes, if this is what Audible thinks of as funny

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Mindy Kaling and Michael Schur ?

That wouldn't have fixed it. It was the material.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Anger and disappointment.

    Any additional comments?

Mindy Kaling explains how she got to be a TV writer and actor. Problem is, she leaves out all humor. It sounds more like a sorority girl bragging to her frenemy at the reunion. Save your money.
