    There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

    I am shocked people have rated this so highly. I downloaded it based on the reviews and the fact that Ray Porter was the narrator. Ray is amazing and he did a great job with this book. My problem is that the story is just boring. I will say that once you get into it you'll have a hard time not finishing it but nothing really happens and it just goes on and on.

    I really wanted to like this book and in the end I guess it was decent. I listened to the last few hours on double speed to get through it faster. Overall the story was just kind of far-fetched (not just in the SciFi way but in all ways). Some things came too easy and other things were just stupidly unbelievable...like who the characters were and what they were capable of figuring out and doing.

    I'm not going to spoil the book but this would have been much better as a 2 hour short story instead...
