i love Mark Tufo. His books and characters are very interesting and I often find myself laughing out loud. This was a great series. I have now moved onto Indian Hill.
It has been a long time since I picked up a Stephen King book, and this one brought back why I love his writing so much. The character development and pace of the story are great. I was entertained right till the end. I loved the long length of the book, felt like a great deal.
Overall I have enjoyed the Walking Dead Audiobook series, but they could be much better. I am a huge fan of the TV series, but the books hit a mediocre level. I suspect they are thrown together to simply make some cash of the success of other parts of the franchise. Don't get me wrong, I have heard worse stories and will buy part 2 to this book, but I have other zombie novels I like much better. Check out Zombie Fallout for a well written series.
I love the series and while ZA Recht told a better story I think all three books are worthy of a listen
I don't get all the negative reviews on this book. Ok it's not the original author as he passed away. It would have been nice if he had finished the series, but tragedy struck.
I think Thom did a very good job finishing things up. The story moved along much in the way I think Recht would have written it. Is it perfect no, but I was entertained and looked forward to putting the the headset on to listen to the story. I am glad I stuck the series out. I am a Zombie fan and this one did a great job taking it from the military approach to the rag tag band of survivors. I recommend the series to anyone who likes then genera, you won't be disappointed
I am only 2 hours in, but so bored, can't see myself continuing. At least the book was free, so no great loss
Dan Brown was was an exciting read. I was on the edge of seat and could not wait to get back to his earlier books. But I found Symbols disappointing and Inferno continues with that thought. It's not the worse story ever, but such a formula, it is getting boring. Paul Michael does a wonderful job, but with this story I found myself tuning out, which is not a good thing. I think Robert Langdon needs to rest now, try writing a different character.
Another great book from Mark Tufo. While different from his Mike Talbot stories, he does a great job creating the characters and weaving an interesting story.
Wow not sure what these other reviewers are seeing in this book. Purchased because of good reviews, but the writing style makes it dreadful. The journal style with it saying every few minutes Tuesday January 18th 1:30pm.....Friday January 27th ..... Drives you nuts and makes the book so boring and frustrating to listen to. At first I thought it was just the start of the book, but it does not go away. I see why the author used this style, it allows him to basically avoid stringing his story together. The fact I finished the book is why I gave it 2 stars, but I have no intention of finishing the series and yes that means I won't know what happen to these two dimensional characters. Oh well not going to lose sleep over it, at least I bought it on sale for $10
Like other Mark Tufo books, this one does not disappoint in what is there. Problem is the story is written in chapter book style, so this one just gets going and it ends. There are a total of 4 books in the series and I believe only 2 of them are on audible. It is hard to swallow using 1 credit for 1/4 of a book. I picked this one up with $10 credit I earned for buy 4 books in a month, so no lose on that end. Still undecided if I will continue, because the story was good, but expensive to listen to. All 4 should be offered as one credit (when and if they are done)
It was fun to listen to another Mike Talbot adventure, very different from Indian Hill and Zombie Fallout. While I loved those two series, I think this is my favorite so far, I could not wait to get back to listening to it. This is much darker then the other stories and while I did like Mike's sarcasm, it was different then the other books. Mark has done a great job, keep up the good work.
