This is a new YA romantic dystopian novel, but it's more romantic novel than dystopian novel compare to the Hunger Games. The story is interesting enough to attract teenage girls. Not boys.
What I didn't like was Juliette's voice. It was too whiney. I don't think the author intended Juliette to sound like a whiney or hysterical all the time. She should be more sedated. Also Kenji sounded like Latino instead of Japanese. Oddly, Adam and James sounded pretty convincing compare to Juliette.
Nadia May sounds like Judi Dench, and she is amazing! I own a book and have read it, but this Audible version is a great way to re-read it.
I don't care for the story. The teaching is so superficial and cliche. So shallow and boring. I want my money back!
I was looking for a good book for 10 year old and tried this trilogy. It was surprisingly enjoyable!
Simon Jones's narration is really great. Highly recommended.
Jim Dale is a great narrator, but his voice is just not for this story. When he was speaking parts of small children, it bothered me too much to enjoy. I kept on thinking "I wish I read the book instead of buying this audiobook."
