A bunch of uninteresting characters read by an uninspired narrator. A big yawn. What WAS the point?
Tina Fey has a smart-alack sense of humor I love. The book starts out a little slow, but by the end I was howling. Her intonations and timing of her jokes are perfect. Love it!
This is a nice book with an interesting story. It was an easy read and I enjoyed it. What I hated was the reader. Imagine my surprise when I realized that the reader was the author. Bad idea! Her voice is like a squeaky teenager. When she moves into other characters, she gets even higher and squeakier.
So, not a bad book, just a bad reader.
This is not a happy book. It's written so concisely that you don't even know the characters' names. That's OK. It adds to the dreary, hopelessness of the situation. If you can take the sad subject matter, it's a good read.
I read this few years ago and got through it, but couldn't make it this time. Impossibly boring!
Oscar Wilde had such a cutting, insightful humor. After reading a long, heavy book this was a breath of fresh air. Makes you laugh out loud. Highly recommend.
I know a lot of people liked this book so maybe it's just not my cup of tea. Too macho. Too predictable. Too beautiful people.
I have never read James Patterson so picked this out to see why he's so popular. I still don't know. This is an unbelievable story with a very thin plot line. The narrator sounds like a teenager. Waste of time.
Not at all interesting. I couldn't make it past the first 1/2 hour. Boring.
If you believe any of this I have a bridge in Brooklyn for you. Just silly tripe.
i didn't care for this. maybe it's just not my genre. I only took it because it was free. A pretty silly story.
