Would you listen to How to Have an Out of Body Experience again? Why?

Yes I'd listen again to help recall some of the important points about various relaxation techniques to induce obes, as well as how to control my spiritual self once I come out.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved that he covered so much unknown territory. The most fascinating parts were the limitless freedom & knowledge we can access out of our physical bodies, as well as the spiritual control we have, & that nothing can harm us there.

    Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite part was probably where he talks about our ability to explore our complete present life's history from any perspective, as well as our past lives!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

My most extreme reaction to this book was that it explained so many useful, creative &, unexpected ways to use this ability. It actually made me much more determined to pursue access this spiritual world, which I haven't been able to do on a conscious level yet. (this book made my current INability much more frustrating lol)

    Any additional comments?

This book contains many valuable tips I never would have thought of. So it's worth listening to again!:)) BUT his hypnosis chapters did NOTHING to help me. It's probably my own fault for having such a scattered mind & poor relaxation habits.

Life Without Limits is an inspiring book by an extraordinary man - Nick Vujicic, who was born without arms or legs but overcame his disability to live not only independently, but to live a rich, fulfilling life that is a model for anyone seeking true happiness. Now an internationally successful motivational speaker, his key message is letting people know the importance of finding your life's purpose - even through pain.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Definitely yes! I'd recommend this book because Nick Vojicic's story was unusually inspiring to me. I heard about it thru my 12 yr old son who couldn't wait to tell me about this cool guy he learned about at school! So I'd love to spread this guy's story the same way to my family/ friends. Nick uses great humor & charisma (through his own narration) along with extreme openness & trust, letting the audience in on his greatest fears & lowest moments of despair. Therefore, he kept my attention start to finish. I could hear his raw emotion about his life & past. He has such determination to reach his goals, & living for God & for others rather than himself....... without overdoing the religious parts/ bible quotes, & without judging others. He related his experiences to everyone's real life problems, & not just how it relates to him. He brought me to tears a few times which is rare:)

Who was your favorite character and why?

Nick Vujicic........ Becuse I can't imagine handling his situation with such a great attitude. & after hearing his story, I think that more now, than ever, maybe regular people have great strengths deep down which we're not necessarily aware of..... yet. (probably given to us somehow by God)

What does Nick Vujicic bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

This is an easy question...... Nick's shows his true-self all through this book & it shows constantly in his voice. He doesn't hold back, & even broke down in one chapter, but kept talking right thru it.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Absolutely yes, when he talked about his thoughts of suicide.

    Any additional comments?

Great book, awesome narration & message for all people of all cultures & religions.

Chuck Palahniuk's world has always been, well, different from yours and mine. These pieces from Stranger Than Fiction, his first nonfiction collection, prove just how different, in ways both highly entertaining and deeply unsettling.

Would you try another book from Chuck Palahniuk and/or Dennis Boutsikaris and Chuck Palahniuk ?

    probably not.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Something else with interesting true story/ stories or an unusual biography.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Dennis Boutsikaris and Chuck Palahniuk ?

I suppose the narration quality was fine, so yes:)

What character would you cut from Stranger Than Fiction?

Marylin Manson, he already looks so freaky that anything about him doesn't come as a surprise.

    Any additional comments?

The story about the combine (or tractor) demolition derby night was where I started having doubts about this book, & losing my focus. The author seemed to ramble on wayy too much with details for my taste.

  • The Day Satan Called: A True Encounter with Demon Possession and Exorcism

The Day Satan Called is Bill Scott's account of an excruciating 18-month period in his life. Out of Christian love he and his wife invited a young lady who was demon possessed and the member of an active satanic network into their home. They prayed the sinner's prayer with her and believed that they could help redeem someone who had witnessed and experienced unimaginable rituals and abuses. What happened instead were death threats and the loss of their home as a sanctuary.

What disappointed you about The Day Satan Called?

Firstly, the TITLE is completely misleading. This book was much more about the bible & accepting Jesus Christ, than haunting demons, possessions, & Satan.. Secondly, It just plain was not believable. The first chapter really kept my interest & was very intriguing. Then it just got to be ridiculous...... the writer's actions & reactions just didn't follow human nature. I was looking for a good, scary, TRUE story about demons, hauntings, or possession, where good probably triumphs over evil, perhaps with a mention of Jesus here & there..... not a Bible lesson.

Has The Day Satan Called turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, this book has not turned me off to others in this genre. I would take anoother chance. This topic is very interesting & believable to me.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Too many religious references, & very seemed to be very contrived.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It was unpredictable at times...... just too fake & religious.

    Any additional comments?

Don't waste your time unless you're looking for a religious type read.
