"One Book to Rule Them all"
I think the second book is the best. Thanks Audible for making it available, it has taken over my commute.
"Fast paced, sexy and unique."
Forget everything you know about witches, vampires and for that matter reality. Dead Witch Walking turns the crime novel into something brand new. I loved the edginess of the book coupled with the power and venerability of the main character. Very entertaining indeed.
"From the beginning, fast paced and violent"
Don't play this one with the kids in the car! Once you get past the initial shock you will not be able to put this down. Fast paced and very interesting.
"The story line is dated, but very entertaining."
I loved the story, from start to finish. I would call it a improved version of Stephen King's the Stand. It is an older book and is a little dated with its cold war implications.
Not a must read, but I still would recommend it.
"Great content, dry listen"
Great content if you are ready to write your first novel. After a while though it becomes bla bla bla.. as the reader just drones on and on.
I replayed sections more than once, as I lost concentration because the reader is so dry.
"Tom's books are almost too real"
If you want a dose of reality, of what could really happen then read Tom Clancy. The best horror is the possibly of terror
"Not just one but two types of Zombies, Live=Run"
ZA really tells the story of how a Plague could overtake the planet. His Two types of zombies are original, you'll love it as they add a twisted detention to the story.
"If you love Zombies this is your book."
Recht is a great story teller but. Book one, was awesome, they way he the plague chased them around the world, however this book somehow lost its luster for me. He spent too much time in one place. Still worth the listen, and book three is great.
"I am so happy that Audible has this series"
When I was a teenager I read this series, talked about it at school and had all my friends read it too. Now I am doing the same thing for this Audio Book 35 years later. Thanks Audible.
It is a reading that does the amazing book justice. the Narrator even sings the songs. AWESOME
"Teaches with stories, typical Stephen"
Great writers amaze me. The ability to take a mundane subject like learning how to write and wrapping it in a life's work, is what makes Stephen King enjoyable to read/listen.
Having the author read the story has the added benefit of his inflection.
