I wanted to hear a good story, but did not get very far. Once bad four-letter-words are introduced in a story I quit listening. That's why I love John Grisham.

I read the reviews about this book and some were not very nice. But I listened to it anyway and enjoyed it very much. If accents are not exact and places are not pronounced correctly, it doesn't really matter. What matters is learning about the lives of all these people and what they endured. And not forgetting this story. This story reminds me to tell people in my life everyday that I love them. That is what is important. At the end of this recording the author tells how he came to write this story, very moving.

Grisham can do no wrong in my eyes. I enjoyed the performance very much and loved the humor in the story. He cannot write fast enough for me. What a good movie this will make. What's next?

The performance was well done. But it was just such a dark and sad story. I was waiting for something good to happen. There were brief moments of hope, but not enough. I do admit that it was a dark time in history and I did learn something new about France's involvement in WWII.

I have not read or listened to a Marguerite Henry book yet that I have not totally enjoyed. Brighty is such a cool donkey. Many lessons can be learned from Brighty.

Loved it. I liked that it included history. Such a good horse and human(s) story. It reminded me of Smokey the Cow Horse. I totally enjoyed this book. I'm looking forward to seeing the movie.

Seabiscuit was one of the best books I have read. Unbroken was excellent too. I had never heard of this story and feel that I would have really missed out if I had not heard it. Excellent!!

I did not make it past the first 15 minutes becasue the language was so offensive. She could have been so clever in using the English language to get across her anger, but she chose not to.
