    This is the book that got me excited about history. I was born in 1953, and, hadn't heard about Mr. Truman in school. So to me it is like listening to a great adventure. The story is not new but, to hear how it all unfolded is facinating. This is history come alive and the listener is truly, "A fly on the wall watching as it all came to pass.

    Near the top. I don't do fiction often. I listen to non-fiction History


    Who was your favorite character and why?

    Hard to choose. It all fit so well. All made a great whole.


    What about Kevin Foley’s performance did you like?

    The different voices brought the story to life. I could feel the evil in the demons.


    If you could rename Piercing the Darkness, what would you call it?

    The eternal fight.

    I listen often. There is too much information to absorb in one listen.

    I like the use of both male and female voices.


    What does Ellen Burstyn and Ed Asner bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    Expression, emphisis and feeling.


    Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    No. there is to much to absorb. It IS worth the time.
