Audible addict! A friend told me to try this, and it was incredible. I travel for work and this is a great way to make the miles melt away.

The meeting place was carefully chosen: an abandoned church in rural Ireland just after dark. For Jonathan Quinn--a freelance operative and professional "cleaner" - the job was only to observe. If his cleanup skills were needed, it would mean things had gone horribly wrong. But an assassin hidden in a tree assured just that. And suddenly Quinn had four dead bodies to dispose of and one astounding clue - to a mystery that is about to spin wildly out of control.

I think Brett Battles has done an incredible job of showing how a professional fixer of problems would act when involved with personal issues. I love the character development he uses here. The dynamic bewteen the characters is phenomenal. I just purchased book four in the series here and can't wait to get started. I hope there are 10 more coming.

If you could sum up Deal Breaker in three words, what would they be?

    Good solid story

Who was your favorite character and why?

Winn - I like the side kick concept where he is the stronger of the two. His weakness is the fact that he is nearly a criminal.

    Any additional comments?

I liked it. I think I read this book years ago, so the story was familiar but did not stick. Concept just felt like deja vu. I liked the characters, and other than a few holes in their development, some time frames, fairly solid. I am sure he will fill in details of characters past in later books, but just felt strange here a couple of times. Main character was injured playing basketball, joins FBI, and now and Sports Agent. Time in FBI was not discussed and felt like it was there just to make character plausible. Just felt strange to me. I have had this in my library a long time and finally listened to it over a trip. Found myself wanting more . Good enough that I am getting the next two in the series with my credits this month.

Someone gives you a dangerous puzzle to solve, one that may kill you or someone else, and you're about to fail...and there is no other option. No one who can help. No one but the Bricklayer. The Bricklayer is the pulse-pounding novel introducing Steve Vail, one of the most charismatic new heroes to come along in thriller fiction in many years. He's an ex-FBI agent who's been fired for insubordination but is lured back to the Bureau to work a case that has become more unsolvable - and more deadly - by the hour.

Lenne says: "Good story, very good narrator"
    "Can't wait for next one"
    Overall

Starts with a bang to introduce the title character and just kept me going the entire time. I loved it. Already bought the next one in the series and lookiing forward to more. I am hooked.
