"Rivetting Listen - highly thought provoking"
Only downside was hearing Seth "reading" his book - would have loved to hear him deliver it more impromptu. If you can forgive this - the creator of the "Purple Cow" brings a highly provocative and yet totally logical idea. Swap out "Liars" for "Storytellers", and you've got the story line. Have listened to it twice, will listen another couple of times at least and brainstorm further. Very stimulating.
"Interesting personal story, but NOT social science"
This book comprised a budding new author's personal journey into her happiness project. Please don't buy this book if you're looking for a social science study on happiness. It's very low on research and low on examples that are not part of Gretchen's personal application. Gretchen applied those areas of Happiness that she happened to come across in her research and that she liked the sound of. Gretchen is not a Happiness expert. If you want to read books for the experts, try Audible's The Happiness Advantage (very good). I found Gretchen to be far too long winded, and was bored by many of the personal details she shared - sorry.

"Needs revision - not 'real time' enough"
Need to side with the majority of reviewers. Problem with making a book so time specific, is it passes its sell by date very quickly. May have been interesting back in 2000, but (insert your current date here...)
