"Should have read reviews more carefully"
I did not realize this was a romance novel--which I do not like. Tried to finish--the author has created some very imaginative sequences--but the silly "will she or won't she" (it's obvious that she will) overwhelmed the intriguing parts and finally turned me off...so I turned it off and deleted it from my iTunes library.
"Best One Yet..."
...and I enjoyed the first two immensely. Jayne is the perfect narrator for Flavia, a character that could be ruined so easily if given the wrong voice. Entwhistle's narration gives depth and insight into this unique, precocious, engaging young girl.
"Penelope is just as much fun"
Being a fan of "To the Manor Born", I feel Penelope has been cast perfectly as a narrator of some of the Agatha books. Yes, Donada Peters is wonderful, and I thoroughly enjoy all of those she has narrated--but I heartily disagree with those who have given Penelope's versions such low marks.
"Excellent narration"
This is really wonderful. A timeless tale and Tim Curry does a marvelous job giving voice to all of the characters.
"Wonderful narrator"
The story has a few flaws, but Flavia is so engaging, and the story so well-told, it doesn't really matter.
