No greater threat exists than that which waits in the depths of the distant Maw Cluster: A being of pure, ravenous dark-side energy named Abeloth calls out across the stars to Jedi and Sith alike. For some it may be the ultimate source of answers crucial to their survival. For others it could be the ultimate weapon of conquest. But for all, it is a game-changingand life-altering encounter of untold magnitude and a tactical gambit with unimaginable consequences.

I disagree with the first part not grabbing me. I dig it. There are better outings from Aaron but I do think it was decent and entertaining. Anything involving Dathomir is good in my book.

Where does Star Wars: Darth Plagueis rank among all the audiobooks you???ve listened to so far?

This ranks among the top of the books I've listened to. Daniel Davis made this one even better and it already stood tall by itself as a great book.

What did you like best about this story?

The story has everything you'd want in a Star Wars book. The back-story on the characters is thorough and quite entertaining. You get a little piece of everyone's story in this book - from Darth Maul, Count Dooku and some other prominent Jedi

Have you listened to any of Daniel Davis???s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not but I will now.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I am not that kind of listener but it was very good nontheless.

    Any additional comments?

If you like Star Wars this is the one for you.

Chief of State Natasi Daala has been overthrown, and the Jedi Order has taken control of the Galactic Alliance. But while the new governors dismantle Daala's draconian regime, forces still loyal to the deposed official are mobilizing a counterstrike. And even the Jedi's new authority may not be enough to save Tahiri Veila, the former Jedi Knight and onetime Sith apprentice convicted of treason for the killing of Galactic Alliance officer Gilad Pellaeon. Meanwhile, Luke and Ben Skywalker are relentlessly pursuing Abeloth, the powerful dark-side entity bent on ruling the galaxy.

I suspect this is some kind of transitional book?... or maybe its just not as good as I hoped it would be. Anyway - I love Star Wars and can forgive a lot but this just seemed to ramble on. The sheer amount of cross plot information left me a bit confused and overwhelmed. I felt like some of the story could have easily been tapered down and made far more simple and to the point. The important things are lost in too much writing. Bouncing from one place to another only to have it support a small bit of plot... meh. I'll wait for the next one and hope its better!
