Great story and performance... definitely the best Star Wars book series out there, and Marc Thompson's performance makes it extra awesome!

In a time long forgotten, a preternatural event threw the seasons off balance. In a land where summers can last decades and winters a lifetime, trouble is brewing. As the cold returns, sinister forces are massing beyond the protective wall of the kingdom of Winterfell. To the south, the king's powers are failing, with his most trusted advisor mysteriously dead and enemies emerging from the throne's shadow.

What did you love best about A Game of Thrones?

The intricate plots and epic scale are wonderful - the amount of effort poured into creating the world of Westeros really shows.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Eddard Stark - love the character who tries to do the right thing every time even when it seems everything is pointing to the easy way out.

What does Roy Dotrice bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He does a very good job giving each character their own voice, and changing the pace of the reading to match what's happening in the book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I want to pick up a sword and skewer some Lannisters, if that counts

    Any additional comments?

If you are looking for a happy-ending type book, this is not the one you want. This book is about power struggles and is not for the hero saves the day type.
