New York book editor Maris Matherly-Reed knows a best seller when she sees one - even if it is just a tantalizing partial manuscript submitted by a writer identified only as P.M.E., with the return address of an obscure island off the Georgia coast. Maris is intrigued enough to search for him.

Envy held my attention and had a great suprise ending. The narrator got on my nerves a bit, but the story was well worth it. I would definately recommend this to those of you that listen while you commute!!!

Outside the gates of a California prison, Peter Morgan is released after four long years and vows to redeem himself in the eyes of the young daughters he left behind. Simultaneously, Carl Waters, a convicted murderer, is set on the path of freedom with him. That night, three hundred miles south in San Francisco, police detective Ted Lee comes home to a silent house; for twenty-nine years, he has been living for his job, and slowly falling out of love with his wife.

This book was easy to listen to and had good narration, it was slow at points, but overall I enjoyed it.

Patterson's latest is "a slick, vastly enjoyable thriller." Jack Mullen's relentless crusade to discover the truth behind his younger brother's death puts him into a head-on collision with one of the most powerful and ruthless men in New York. As it unfolds that his brother was involved with some of the richest women and men in America - in ways Jack never imagined - his dream of justice fades. Only if he can somehow beat the rich at their own game will he be able to avenge his brother.

The Beach House is by far one of my most favorite audio books. The narration was excellent and the story kept my interest the entire time. I would highly recommend this book. Full of twist and turns and suprises.
