Would you try another book from Chris Brogan and/or Chris Brogan?

    No

What was most disappointing about Chris Brogan’s story?

    Dull

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Chris Brogan?

    Narration was fine.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    None

    Any additional comments?

This book is awful. Barely an intelligent thought in there. Even for someone who has never gone to Google+, or used it for more than 15 minutes, it's a waste of time since you could learn all told in the book in 15 minutes. For a decent book on Google and Google+, check out Jeff Jarvis' "What Would Google Do". There one learns something from a book riddled with intelligent and new ideas.

In a book that's one part prophecy, one part thought experiment, one part manifesto, and one part survival manual, internet impresario and blogging pioneer Jeff Jarvis reverse-engineers Google, the fastest-growing company in history, to discover 40 clear and straightforward rules to manage and live by.

In what is considered one of Heinlein's most hair-raising, thought-provoking, and outrageous adventures, the master of modern science fiction tells the strange story of an even stranger world. It is 21st-century Luna, a harsh penal colony where a revolt is plotted between a bashful computer and a ragtag collection of maverick humans, a revolt that goes beautifully until the inevitable happens. But that's the problem with the inevitable: it always happens.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress to be better than the print version?

    Yes

What did you like best about this story?

    Rich characters and something different.

    Any additional comments?

Excellent and timeless science fiction. I had rather given up on older science fiction because the new stuff (Robert Sawyer, Vernor Vinge, et al) were so good. Went back to the 60's with this one and was amazed.

Ten years have passed on Tines World, where Ravna Bergnsdot and a number of human children ended up after a disaster that nearly obliterated humankind throughout the galaxy. Ravna and the pack animals for which the planet is named have survived a war, and Ravna has saved more than one hundred children who were in cold-sleep aboard the vessel that brought them. While there is peace among the Tines, there are those among them - and among the humans - who seek power. And no matter the cost, these malcontents are determined to overturn the fledgling civilization....

This book wasn???t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This isn't really science fiction and should be labelled as such. I LOVE everything else I've read/listened to by this author, but this book I did not like. It's a well-written and great story, but IT IS NOT science fiction. More like fantasy.

Would you try another book from Robert J. Sawyer and/or Jeff Woodman?

Sawyer can write amazing stuff (Calculating God, WWW Trilogy, Starplex) but he is just as able to write average stuff like this one.

What was most disappointing about Robert J. Sawyer???s story?

Reasonably interesting but disappointing really. Not as deep a story as the author @RobertJSawyer can write. I'd guess it's watered down because it's written so it can be turned into a movie.

You didn???t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    Wonderfully read by Jeff Woodman.

In this Hugo-nominated novel, Neanderthal physicist Ponter Boddit brings Canadian geneticist Mary Vaughan back to his world to explore the near-utopian civilization of the Neanderthals. Boddit serves as a Candide figure, the naive visitor whose ignorance about our society makes him a perfect tool to analyze human tendencies toward violence, over-population, and environmental degradation.

Reads more like a bad romance novel than science fiction. Robert Sawyer is usually absolutely excellent but this second book is terrible!

John Perry did two things on his 75th birthday. First, he visited his wife's grave. Then he joined the army. The good news is that humanity finally made it into interstellar space. The bad news is that planets fit to live on are scarce - and alien races willing to fight us for them are common. So, we fight, to defend Earth and to stake our own claim to planetary real estate. Far from Earth, the war has been going on for decades: brutal, bloody, unyielding.

Thousands of years after an entire colony mysteriously disappears, antiquities dealer Alex Benedict comes into possession of a cup that seems to be from the Seeker, one of the colony's ships. Alex and his assistant, Chase Kolpath, follow a deadly trail to the Seeker, strangely adrift in a system barren of habitable worlds. But their discovery raises more questions than it answers, drawing Alex and Chase into the very heart of danger.

"Wow, great story and a superb voice"
    Overall

The story is far into the future and the voice seems to match it. The narrator, Jennifer Van Dyck, must be the best voice I've heard in the many dozens of books I've listened to here at Audible.

The story was excellent, keep me intensely listening, and had some great new science fiction concepts.

Here is a stunning collection of short stories by the acclaimed fantasy writer. These stories will dazzle your senses, haunt your imagination, and move you to the very depths of your soul. This extraordinary compilation reveals one of the world's most gifted storytellers at the height of his powers.

    Jean says: "Confusing"

Hard stories to listen to. They're packed with info for one thing. And there aren't good breaks between stories. I often wondered if I was still on the previous story or a new one.

Still, there are some excellent stories in here, and I thoroughly enjoyed some. The author also has an excellent voice, which was a pleasure to listen too.
