Once upon a time...as a fair maiden lay weeping upon a cold tombstone, her heartfelt desire was suddenly made real before her: Tall, broad of shoulder, attired in gleaming silver and gold, her knight in shining armor had come to rescue his damsel in distress.... Hailed worldwide as one of the most romantic novels of all time, Jude Deveraux's dazzling best seller "will capture your heart - and hold it" (Daily Herald, Chicago) with its breathtaking tale.

What would have made A Knight in Shining Armor better?

    A better narator

What other book might you compare A Knight in Shining Armor to and why?

the Outlander Series because they both deal with time travel and love stories

Would you be willing to try another one of Steve West’s performances?

not in the form of a romance novel.

What character would you cut from A Knight in Shining Armor?

I wouldn't cut a single character but I would cut the narator.

    Any additional comments?

I have read the actual hardcover book when it first came out and absolutely loved it! Finished it in 4 hours and have read it at least 4 times. Steve West made Douglas sound as whinny as Gloria. Total turn off. Let him stick to stories that do not involve female characters as he does not do them justice. This presentation made me pick up the book and read it for myself again I could not get through this story with the narator at all.

I raised the paddle once again and landed it across her ass cheeks a second time. Little red circles appeared on her ass cheeks from the holes in the center of the leather paddle. She let out another scream. Then I asked her the million dollar question. One that every Dom knows that no matter how they answer, it's a loaded question. Because if they say no, the outcome is the same as if they had said yes. And if they say yes, then how can we simply deny them what they want?

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Don't waste your time on this book. One the narator/auther needs to learn how to read out loud before she records a book for everyone to read. It was painful after 2 minutes of listening, In fact I did not go any farther. If you want to read a story of SMBD 50 Shades was much better.

What was most disappointing about Candy Kross’s story?

She can't read a book outloud.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

    Lack of reading knowledge

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

None what - so - ever.

    Any additional comments?

resist the urge to read this you will feel better for it.

In a time long forgotten, a preternatural event threw the seasons off balance. In a land where summers can last decades and winters a lifetime, trouble is brewing. As the cold returns, sinister forces are massing beyond the protective wall of the kingdom of Winterfell. To the south, the king's powers are failing, with his most trusted advisor mysteriously dead and enemies emerging from the throne's shadow.

What disappointed you about A Game of Thrones?

I just did not like the narrator for the book at all. Every character started to sound the same.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

    Better Narrator

What didn’t you like about Roy Dotrice’s performance?

Nothing at all. In fact it made the book unfollowable.

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I first read this book about 10 years ago. Once I started I could not put it down. Now every time a new book is to come out I start reading them all over again starting at the very beginning. If you love history you will love this series. If you enjoy time travel this is the series for you. If you just love good reading this is the one to read. You fall in love with Jamie and Claire and get transported right along with them.

What did you like best about this story?

The historical aspect of the story and the character development.

    Which scene was your favorite?

The whole thing I love it so much I can't pick just one.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I cry everytime I read them.
