Yes I will. It's an easy story. I like the reader.
I think it's hard to say because the writer is trying to introduce a lot of people that will be developed as the series continues.
No this is the first book I have her that she has performed. I will be looking for more now.
First I am trying to read the books in order so I haven't read beyond this one yet. Forever Odd is like a meditation of what Odd wants to do next and why he doesn't want to do it. His way of moving forward after loosing his beloved Stormy. It's slow and there is just too much Odd by himself and in his head. I have the feeling I will enjoy Brother Odd much better because I took the time to listen to Forever Odd. I am glad I got the book in a sale.
He did a good job with what he had to read
I really liked the idea of what the story was supposed to be about but it just didn't come together for me. There were too many stories and none of them really flowed well together or individually.
I truly loved The Prayer Box. So yes I would read another book by Lisa Wingate.
Even's brother. It would have been better to have had his niece be orphaned that to have included the brother. His part of the story made no contribution to the over all story.
Again I liked the concept of the story. I just wished there was more of any one of the main storylines that came together in a more complete way.
There really wasn't a story to the story. There was a ton of things that happened basically in one night. I wish I could say something nice but this book was a rehash of Odd Thomas in a less interesting way. The end left me think that's it???
I would listen to MacLeod Andrews again. He has a pleasant voice.
No not really.
not sure haven't read it.
While I don't cuss much I know what it's like to just want a child to go to sleep. I know the frustration of waiting for little ones to fall sweetly and blissfully to sleep.
South of Broad by Pat Conroy. Cathy Lamb like Pat Conroy has mastered that magic of conversations between characters. At once deep and serious yet suddenly funny, sweet, and light hearted. I love the inter actions between Meggie and her sisters Lacey and Tory. They remind me of conversations I'd have with my best friends.
I love Meggie. Amy McFadden takes Cathy Lambs words and give a deep realistic touch to depression and finding a way out of it. Meggie is deeply depressed after going through an emotionally abusive marriage with a mentally ill husband. In finding her way back to herself she goes back to her family business and finds out that it's in financial trouble. Instead of walking away and just dealing with her own issues she steps up deals with the company, her sisters, her niece and nephews, her grandmother, her mother, her interest in the man across the street and finding her way back to who she really is. Not always in a health manor but in the manor that works for Meggie. I am looking forward to listening more to Amy McFadden!
I did laugh and cry. I would say this is one of the best books I have listened to all year.
I am hoping that Audible brings more of Cathy Lambs books to Audibles!
I like this book. The narrator caught my attention by the detail to the various and many different voices and accents. I like the leads and the romance isn't too bad. The story does drag a bit in spots but hey for a debut book Wow! I am looking forward to seeing Dianna becoming stronger in book two. For those people who feel there is too much attention paid to the “romance” part of the story it’s call back ground plot development that takes time and gives us a chance to see the “why of what is to come” in the next book or books. If you are looking for a deep meaningful book this isn’t the one but if you are looking for a true “story” with twist and turns that is a great escape. This is a wonderful book to add to your wish list!
I was looking for an inbetween credits inexpensive audiobook. The paperback sale was just the thing. I found this book so well written and read. I am a new fan of Tiffany Baker and the reader Carrington MacDuffie.
