In the 10 years since his classic Kitchen Confidential first alerted us to the idiosyncrasies and lurking perils of eating out, much has changed for the subculture of chefs and cooks, for the restaurant business and for Anthony Bourdain. Medium Raw explores those changes, tracking Bourdain's strange and unexpected voyage from journeyman cook to globe-traveling professional eater and drinker, and even to fatherhood. Bourdain takes no prisoners as he dissects what he's seen.

Andy says: "entertaining but not as good as kitchen conf."
    "More like medium poor"
    Overall

Bourdain is just too pleased with himself for my taste. And the language will be rather too spicy for many.

Arch-swindler Moist von Lipwig never believed his crimes were hanging offenses, until he found himself with a noose around his neck, dropping through a trap door, and falling into...a government job? Getting the moribund Postal Service up and running again, however, may be an impossible task. Worse, the new Postmaster could swear the mail is talking to him.

Robert W says: "Finally on AUDIBLE!!!"
    "Pratchett strikes again"
    Overall

As good as ever, which is very good! Thank you mr Pratchett and Mr Briggs.

In this genre-twisting novel, infamous necromancer Johannes Cabal, after beating the Devil and being reunited with his soul, leads us on another raucous journey in a little-known corner of the world. This time he’s on the run from the local government.

jason says: "I enjoyed this listen."
    "An excellent listen"
    Overall

A witty, funny book that kept me interested and amused. I had not heard the first Cabal book, but that didn't matter - this story stands on its own. Very nicely read, with a great range of characterizations.
I will certainly get the Necromancer one next.

In 13th-century England, the legendary figure known by generations as Robin Hood leads an uprising that will forever alter the balance of world power and will make one man of humble beginnings an eternal symbol of freedom for his people. Now a major motion picture starring Oscar- winner Russell Crowe.

John says: "Nicely done, great plot and lessons to be learned"
"Robin Sachs is a great narrator"
    Overall

Robin Sachs' narration is the reason to buy this audible book. His characterization is very good and he brings the different characters alive. As this book is the story of a film, Robin Sachs narrates the frequent fight scenes well, lending drama to the reading. I enjoy his voice.
