Although the stories were ok for a formulaic romance, the narration was atrocious. The narrator read with almost a monotone and minimal inflection that made the sex scenes especially sound totally boring.
There were also places in the production of the audio where total sentences were repeated, as if the reader had lost her place and restarted. If I were the company that had produced this junk, I'd be totally embarrassed. Don't they listen before offering something for sale?
I don't have the kindle books and won't be buying them, but I think the stories may be slightly better if you read them yourself and skip the audio version.
What a total waste of a credit.

I guess when I purchased this story, I must have only read a couple of great reviews and missed the bad ones. This story was in the erotica section. It was not erotic at all. I don't think even better narrators could have made this story into 4 or 5 stars.

No. And please don't have Lee James ever narrate another romance. He was so inappropriate it's not even funny.

Lee James sounds like he's in his 80's and was supposed to be a man in his 30's. He was a really, really bad choice for this type of book.

I have other Lauren Dane books on my Kindle. If Anadelle Waters is the narrator, I'll give the book a pass. I enjoy Lauren Dane. Anadelle Waters does ok with voices and narrating regular life, but she is totally passionless when it comes to the sexual parts. And in a book in the erotica section, that just doesn't cut it.

Seeing how the characters learned to communicate better with each other as their relationship deepened.

She was so passionless during the sex scenes that I quit listening to the book after only a couple of sex scenes and finished it on my kindle.

I think since there are other books in the Brown family line and in the Delicious line we'll see the characters again. It will be nice to see how their relationship develops.

Please don't let Annadelle Waters narrate any other erotica!

It compares favorably to her other light romantic suspense books and possibly to some of the Jayne Ann Krentz books. I can't really pick a specific title.

There wasn't a huge difference in the various mens and womens voices, other than knowing one was a woman and one was a man, but he did well enough that he didn't detract from the book in my opinion.

Maybe Shades of Twilight, by Linda Howard. Both books have a heroine who has been through a traumatic past incident and both emerged as strong and capable women.

She did the different voices well and never sounded like she was just reading.

She kept me guessing all the way to the end. I hate to figure out the bad guy half way through the book and this one I hadn't.

I loved the relationship between Elizabeth and Teagan and the jumps back in time and back to the present were done very well.

Towards the end. How Elizabeth took care of Gideon.

I can't remember the name of the doctor she studied under, but his demise made me rather sad.

I really enjoyed it. I don't know if it ranks up there with the books I'll listen to over and over, but it is definitely worth a credit.

I think Gillian Flynn did a fine job, so yes, I'd listen to her again. I wasn't impressed enough with the story, or the way it was written, to rush out and get anything by the authors again. I won't rule it out either, if the book sounds interesting enough.

I'm not sure as I'm not a writer. I wasn't thrilled with the technique of telling the story in different parts and I certainly didn't like the way the book ended. I hate cheaters and cheating, but I also hate seeing a certified whacko end up alive and well at the end of the book. Was it written that way so they could write a sequel? It really doesn't matter. I wouldn't be interested in following up the story.

I didn't have one. I pretty much disliked everyone.

Apparently, I'm in a minority in disliking this book as it's already being made into a movie.

Generally, I love mysteries. This one just didn't appeal to me. It was too long and drawn out and didn't have a single character I could actually like. I did manage to make it all the way through. Mainly because I wanted to see if the ending would redeem the rest of the book. Not so much.
