In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue - Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is - she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

Where does Divergent rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I really enjoyed the performance of Emma Galvin, the way she brought it to life. The way, I could hear Tris's thoughts. This was a brilliant book written by an amazing mind.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Divergent?

I don't think that any one moment stood out, but what I most enjoyed was that there were no slow moving times, filler that made it feel like it dragged, no words were wasted as she described everything so clearly and crispy I could actually see it in my own head. This book is full of action and you want the book to never end.

What about Emma Galvin’s performance did you like?

    Absolutely.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did actually listen to it in a single day, this purchase was well worth it.

    Any additional comments?

Put this book on your wishlist, it will be one of the wisest decisions you've made yet.

Love the split narration. The story... everything. Obsessed. In the beginning of the series it felt a little like another twilight... but now I can't think of anything these two series has in common. Simply amazing amazing, could listen to it in one setting.

This is a book worth listening to. Marie Lu has taken us through a journey and though I wished it would never end, this book is the final book of the series. I'm going to return to this series to read again and again. What a way to end an amazing series!

It’s been six weeks since angels of the apocalypse descended to demolish the modern world. Street gangs rule the day while fear and superstition rule the night. When warrior angels fly away with a helpless little girl, her 17-year-old sister, Penryn, will do anything to get her back. Anything, including making a deal with an enemy angel. Raffe is a warrior who lies broken and wingless on the street. After eons of fighting his own battles, he finds himself being rescued from a desperate situation by a half-starved teenage girl. Traveling through a dark and twisted Northern California, they have only each other to rely on for survival.

Where does Angelfall rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I listen to a lot of books from this genre, and sometimes it's a hit and miss for me. Definitely something worth listening to.

What did you like best about this story?

The main character is strong, in some cases I find that the other characters in other books are weaker. I also enjoyed the quirks of her mother.

Have you listened to any of Caitlin Davies’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not from my knowledge.

Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning? In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

If you could sum up The Hunger Games in three words, what would they be?

    it's very addicting.

What did you like best about this story?

I think this series forces you to realize that the world we live in today.. isn't as bad as it could be, but still not as great as it should be. Bottom line is, we all need to have a mockingjay in our lives, and it comes in all different shapes and sizes.

    Which scene was your favorite?

I really enjoyed the arena, how it got my heart pacing with excitement.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The moment towards the end of the games when she held out the berries.

    Any additional comments?

If you haven't read this book, you really need to, you won't regret it.. and I recommend reading it before watching the movie, if you've done the opposite, watch it again and check for differences.
