"When is the next one?"
I hope the author doesn't take long to send out another book! I couldn't stop listening! The 'sessions' is a great, unique way to tell this story.
"Enjoyable"
I enjoy stories that move between two time periods so this book was interesting for me. A number of times, I thought I had connected a few dots but then something different developed. If you like historic fiction, this is a light listen worth the credit.
"Amazing"
This is one of those stories that will stay with you for years to come. I'm only 1/2 through but can't stop listening. The narrator of the little boy is amazing. If the voice bothers you at first, give it 10 minutes...then you'll fall in love with Jack. This story is one of my top 5 from over 5 yrs of Audible.
"Loved it"
I just loved this book! Great narrators, great storyline, great pacing. If you love family sagas and historic-based fiction, this is for you. I was hooked from the first line. Enjoy!
"Don't both"
3/4 way through and nothing is happening yet. I work with ESL students and wanted some insight into their new life in USA. This isn't it.
"Pleasant"
This was a very enjoyable book. The 'see the dead' was not in a scarey way. I enjoyed the narrator and author. Worth the credit and the time.
"Painful!"
I'm sorry if the author reads this but OMG! The publisher's summary was nothing like the first half of the book and I couldn't stick around for the second half. What was all that driving around? I expected a book about a woman who has been lost/seperated/kidnapped from her family who comes to these body findings to actually locate her parents. I think I spent too much time (and book credit) trying to piece together the storyline with what I was hearing. After 2 years on Audible, this book gets my worst bood award. Mayben the second half tied all in together and I just quit too early. But, I just couldn't take the driving, stopping, being a hard***, drive again. Save your money/credits.
"Loved It"
I just loved this book! It was a bit hard at first to keep the characters straight until I realized the dates stated at the beginning of a change helped keep it straight. Otherwise, a great story and great narrator. I wish Audible had more than 2 of her books available. My new favorite.
"Loved It"
I loved this story. I could picture the staff, house, parties, etc. thanks to the author and reader. I hated for it to end yet couldn't wait to hear what happens. I will have a hard time finding a next book to hold up to this one.
"Brad Pitt's movie???"
I listen to this book last fall. Now I see that Brad Pitt has a new movie coming out that has the same storyline but a different name. ("The Curious Case of Benjimen Button") I wonder if it credits this book?? I just saw a quick preview at the movies and it drove me crazy trying to remember why the storyline sounded so familiar.
