Knives at Dawn provides a look at a world few people in the United States even know exists. There are many chefs and cooks. A few participate in the strangely wonderful world of competitive cooking. Well written and well read, Knives at Dawn makes me wish I could be ringing a cowbell or at least cheering loudly for my favorite chef.
This book does not add anything new to the story of Steve Jobs. It sounded like it was written by PC people for PC people. I am not a PC person. I am an Apple person to the core.
Steve Jobs life was interesting from day one. The book is well written and well read. I did not want the book to end. I did not want Steve Jobs' life to end. He was a unique individual with a passion for perfection. The book was well worth twenty five hours of my life.
