I mostly listen on my commute. I love Sci-fi, mystery thrillers, vampire love stories, great girlfriend stories and political thrillers.

Set in a small-town North Carolina amusement park in 1973, Joyland tells the story of the summer in which college student Devin Jones comes to work as a carny and confronts the legacy of a vicious murder, the fate of a dying child, and the ways both will change his life forever. Joyland is a brand-new novel and has never previously been published.

I loved the cadence of the narrator's voice with this story. And I loved how it was told as a retro point of view. The way that Stephen King puts words together weaves an intricate tapestry of emotions and provides easy inner visualization of the scenes. I felt like I was back in 1973 in the Carolina's with Devin and experiencing all of his angst and heartbreak!

Truly an enjoyable read. You won't be dissapointed!

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

The narrators were excellent! I always judge a book by how well it captures my emotions. This book did an excellent job of doing just that. Very addictive, couldn't stop listening. The husband as the obvious choice was too predicable, so you find yourself rooting for some redeeming qualities to surface in him, but they really don't. And once you find out the story's secret, you're not really sure who to root for. It definitely makes you think twice about your relationship and just how well you know your significant other!! Worth the credit, although the ending could have been better and wrapped things up more neatly.

Kaylee just wants to enjoy having caught the attention of the hottest guy in school. But a normal date is hard to come by when Nash seems to know more about her need to scream than she does. And when classmates start dropping dead for no apparent reason, only Kaylee knows who'll be next.

I loved this YA novel and look forward to the rest of the series. It was a good storyline, although it was predictable at times. The writer and narrator still kept me wanting to find out how it ends and who was behind it all.

This was my first time LISTENING to a Star Wars audio production. I LOVED it!! There are sound effects and music and the narrator used different voices,it was simply amazing!! I felt like I was IN the middle of the action!!. If I had known they were all like this, then I would have downloaded more of these productions sooner!!

I actually think that ALL audio books should have this level of production !!

The story did drag at times, but I LOVED Barv's sacrafice. That section was written so well. I actually cried! The ending could have gone better with Abeloth, but really, how DO you kill a being that IS part of the force itself??

Bottom line is, I LOVE the Star Wars extended universe and I was thoroughly entertained by this book. I think a large part of it was the narrator and the music and sound effects for this book.

    Download this book!!

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

This book reminded me why Stephen King has enjoyed such a long successful career as a writer! The characters are so rich, so fully developed. I felt like I WAS back in the late 50's early 60's! And the narrator was really wonderful and expressive and the voices were fabulous. I think I enjoyed it more because of the narrator. I highly recommend this book.

Tananarive Due, author of The Living Blood won the American Book Award and is praised as Stephen King's equal by Publishers Weekly. In The Good House, Due sets a story of ancient powers and modern retribution in a small Pacific Northwest town. When a young woman returns to her grandmother's empty mansion, she is pitted against demonic forces that have poisoned her family for generations.

I loved this book! Excellent story, well written and expertly narrated. The characters have depth and are very engaging. I rooted for Angie and Myles to find their way back to each other. The story was never what I expected and it revealed itself as though you were peeling an onion- many layers to the story and nothing is as it initially seems. Tananarive makes you WANT to read/listen more to find out whats REALLY going on. And the narrator helped to bring the characters to life. Based on this purchase, I will buy another book from Ms. Due.

The beloved #1 Essence best-selling authors of Tryin' to Sleep in the Bed You Made now deliver a novel in which you'll meet their most unforgettable characters yet. Carmen, Jewel, and Regina could not be more different. When they meet as freshmen at Columbia University, they're pretty confident that a friendship among them isn't in the cards.

Great story about the lasting bonds of friendship that are formed in college. I'm still dear friends with my college girlfriends, and it made me call them up and tell them how much I appreciate them. The narrator was entertaining and used different voices for each character.
