"Elvis is still The King!"
This book was another excellent Elvis and Joe story by Robert Crais! I was hooked from the very beginning as we begin to learn a bit more about the elusive Mr. Pike. The pace of the story was perfect, the narrator was excellent making this a very enjoyable listening experience!
"My favorite narrator!"
I only LISTEN to Stephanie Plum books - I never read them because the narrator is perfect! After all these years, hers are the "real" voices for all my favoite charaters! This was another fun story full of adventure and very funny moments as we have all come to expect from the "numbers" series. Thanks to Lorelei King it was made even better!
"We couldn't finish this one..."
My family and I planned to listen to this book on a 12 hour drive this winter. We listened to about an hour of it and all of us agreed it was time to stop. The story went absolutely nowhere, the characters were flat and unappealing and the narrator was only average. I picked this book up on a buy one get one offer...I guess you really do get what you pay for!
"Good, but not his best"
This is a slower paced book by Baldacci. The story was interesting, enjoyable, and had some fun plot twists...but its pace was slow and the story didn't really hit its stride until late in the book.
